Our experience tells us that many people do not realise that it is a necessity to book in time, definately regarding destinations such as Namibia and Botswana.

Why should you book in time?
Because Namibia and Botswana are not yet flooded with tourists, both are not destinations where airlines often fly to. This means that the departing flights are soon fully booked, making it a necessity to book in time if you want to avoid paying enourmous amounts of money for a ticket.
Next to this, many people do not realise that there is only a limited amount of accomodation possibilities near the highlights of Namibia and Botswana. This means that the accomodations, especially near the most popular areas of Namibia (the red sand dunes, the Fish River Canyon and Etosha National Park for example) and Botswana (near Chobe National Park and the Okavango Delta Area) are, definately in high-season, pretty soon fully fully booked. Another reason to be in time, if you want to be assured of accomodation near the highlights. Again, by late booking (if even possible) these often are either the most expensive or the cheapest accomodations.
In short, you will be able to save a lot of money by booking in time.
